Among the interesting interior of The Artisan Hotel is an ultra lounge and for one night in that ultra-lounge was some amazing talent. On Thursday the 27th  the hotel held The Acoustic Spotlight featuring talent such as Denise Savello and Jefferson Montoya. This is the first of many to be held at the hotel. The host for the evening was Danny Vegas who is known for his networking events and travel site. The President and CEO of Diverse Studios Robert Reese was kind enough to lend the equipment for the event.

First up was Denise Savello who did covers from Tracy Chapman and a cover from the band Paramore called “The Only Exception.” Being soft spoken she can really get down on a guitar stating that she was a little nervous when she performed. She has been playing various instruments since she was little.

Next up was Jefferson Montoya who started his set with an original song called “Where You Are.” You can find the song on YouTube with most of his work. Mr. Montoya is in the studio right now working on his newest album “Pinochio Wishes” Having great flair on guitar his set was one I enjoyed he ended his set with the hit “Man In The Mirror.”

After a couple more talented artists had performed, the night closed up with a set from an artist by the name of Xoch (Pronounced “Zoach”). She is no stranger when it comes to music; to date she has over 30 songs licensed to TV and movies and is a member of the Screen Actors Guild. She had a speaking role as a waitress in the movie “Get Him ToThe Greek.” During her set she rocked the house   doing covers and original songs. You can find some of her work at www.myspace.com/xoch.

The Acoustic Spotlight had a great turn out of people including Len Connell the host of Nevada’s #1 “Sex and Money” show on KDWN 720 AM. This is only the first of many; all the artists thought that the venue was unique and it seemed that everyone was having a great time. If you would like to find out when the next Acoustic Spotlight will be please contact Cat Savello at (702) 949-0890.
