Right from the Big Bang or better yet the orgasmic explosion coming from our father into our mother and during this crescendo moment, the entire cosmos becomes still and alert, and the heavenly hosts are seated in the bleachers cheering loudly after the sound of the whistle and the firing of the gun to signal that the race is on. What happens next is that you must get to the egg before millions of other sperm cells or potential lives just for the chance to be born.
This is why we move right now into a deeper level of gratitude and appreciation for this wonderful opportunity to be born and alive. Always remember, there were millions of others who would have loved the opportunity and would have given anything to beat you in that race to the egg. This is why we fix our perception on the fact that Life, in all of its fullness and in all of its glory, is a Divine gift and not a gift that we are angry at or must complain about.
Now back to the Spirit of the Human Race, after we are born, arrive or get here it becomes a competitive race of a different kind such as who is the fastest, the strongest, the safest, the craziest, the smartest, the weirdest, the nastiest, the cheapest, the funniest, the greatest, the richest and simply stated, the best.
Each year we give out academic awards in educational achievement and publishers post the Best of Las Vegas. There are the Pulitzer and Nobel Prizes. There is the Stanley Cup and the Heisman Trophy. There are the NCAA – NBA championships, the Olympic Gold Medalist to the World Series and the Super Bowl. Then we have the Emmy’s, the Tony Awards and the Oscar.
Then we have fight or flight mentality as well as the survival of the fittest. There is the kill or be killed mentality entertained by some on Wall Street and in many other real-life and dangerous neighborhoods. Even though we no longer live in jungles where we need to be concerned about animal predators of the past there still remains the reptilian consciousness of lesser evolved human beings. Therefore the race continues except the race now is to see how fast we can evolve as human beings. How fast can we realize that we are Spiritual Beings having a human experience and our true nature is opposite to the nature of the Beast? The race that we must compete in today is not the so called rat race but the race in how fast can we be available to be of service to as many as possible in the spirit of gratitude to what has provided all of this in the first place.
When we reach the evolved level of human experience cooperation mindset over competition mindset prevails. We then become less interested in how to cheat, beat, destroy and conquer, and more interested in living in peace and harmony, working together and assisting each other. “Victory before War” (instead of after) becomes the new slogan because having the insightful wisdom to know not to fight in the first place makes you the winner and ultimate warrior above all others.
Competition is good because it reveals the best among us. Everybody likes to kick a little butt at times and everyone seems to love a winner because when you lose, you lose alone. Just listen to folks the next time they talk about their favorite sports team’s recent performance, it’s either “we won” or “they lost.”
Cooperation is higher because we let go of the ‘beat them’ mentality and move in the spirit or direction of a ‘help us’ mentality. In other words it is no longer about them but now, it’s only about us.
From the beginning of this message we may now see an insight as to why the sperm cells love to hang out and make the most important decisions in the oval office.
There is the popular saying that says “He or She who dies with the most toys wins.” Then there is the other saying that says “He or She who dies with the most toys – is still dead.”
Eternal Blessings
