Endeavor Media Group Mentoring Program Goes Back To School

Principal Shawn Halland of Sandra Thompson Elementary School and the Endeavor Media Group Mentoring Program have teamed up to teach kids The Importance And Value of Education.

Principal Shawn Halland of Sandra Thompson Elementary School and the Endeavor Media Group Mentoring Program have teamed up to teach kids The Importance And Value of Education. Four mentoring sessions will be conducted and begin in January 2012 and continue until February 2012. One session will commemorate the birthday of Martin Luther King and another session will honor Black History Month. Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades will be excused to a special assembly or join a small group, and attend the Endeavor Media Group Mentoring Program.

The Endeavor Media Group Mentoring Program was founded by Andre’ Haynes of Endeavor Media Group. The program features mentorees such as actors/actresses, pro athletes, celebrities, top physicians, and famous bands/musicians. Mentoring sessions are fun, inspiring, and educational. Past sessions have included mentorees such as the local strong-man competitor, Darvez (Big D) Ballew, the 2008 Hall of Fame Inductee and two time Kickboxing World Champion, Dewey (Black Kobra) Cooper, and the only WNBA player from Las Vegas, Sequoia A. Holmes. Partners include Wendy Wood of Connections Consulting Group. Past sponsors include Menchies Frozen Yogurt of Summerlin Plaza, and Cohen & Padda – Attorneys At Law.
