The Empowerment Column 2012: “The Two of Hearts”

Two simply means one plus another.  We are given 2 hands, 2 feet, 2 eyes, 2 nostrils for both lungs and 2ears on both sides of the brain.  Our very language and the laws of relativity, reflection and attraction cannot exist without duality or the duet nature of 2.  Day and Night = 2. Positive and Negative = 2. Inhale and Exhale = 2.  Male and Female = 2. You + Me = 2.  In the deck, the Hearts represent our emotional nature.  What flows between the 2 hearts on this card is a Divine, pure and sweet energy that we simply call love.

The Two of Hearts is the ‘Relationship Card’

Whenever we remove obstructions that restrict or prevent the flow of love – forgiveness happens, compassion happens, peace and acceptance happens.  This powerful energy of love can be so strong that it causes most of us to ultimately end up coming before the Divine Presence to one day get married.  During this moment the bride and groom will proclaim to each other and the whole world that ‘we love each other to such a degree that can only be perceived, understood and defined as the eternal, inseparable, and faithful union of marriage.

None of us would be here were it not for the joining of 2 hearts.  This is why the Two of Hearts is naturally and mathematically the second card in the deck. That joining of 2 hearts is a ‘force of emotional gravity’ and we all experience it, especially when we get closer and closer to family or loved ones we have missed or not seen for some time.  In Life, we could not make it all happen without each other – that’s one plus another.

One plus an-other equals Together

Both of 2 sides merging together creates a union. The union itself represents The Universal Oneness that we all become again and again in each other.

“Wherever 2 or more are gathered together .., there I am”

The ‘I’ is a symbol of the Universal Oneness.  We come into this as one single individual to become the one couple who becomes one family living in just one world inside our vast Universe.  We don’t live in a bi-verse, tri-verse or quadra-verse, we live inside a Uni-verse because of the absolute nature and greater reality of The One.

“Love Thy Neighbor”

The Two of Hearts means that we live to serve love and be loved or to offer love and accept love.  By Divine Law, giving and receiving are One and inseparable meaning that we cannot give love without receiving it too.  There are scriptures that tell us to love one another and to love others as much as we do ourselves and the Golden Rule tells us to ‘do unto others, as we would want done unto ourselves.’  Love is the power source and gravitational force governing the flow between 2 hearts.

In order to have a friend one must first be a friend

We were all put here together in this world for a great purpose and a good reason – therefore we’re all in this together.  “When you’re smiling, the whole world smiles back at you.”  When we look or go beyond the ME – we can only then become the WE or the US that brings us back into the union of the greater I Am that we all are in the first place.  Right now we are grateful for the gift of our relationships, friends and family for often times they are ultimately what make life worth living.
