This main subject matter of this article is not ‘Tea Etiquette’ or ‘Tea Culture’ but rather it is about the Las Vegas Valley Tea Party (L.V.V.T.P.) and its acting president.
Ray Grant is a true modern day chameleon and changes colors daily ranging from pastoring at Abundant Word of Faith church, hosting a political radio talk show and managing the day to day operations of an active political organization.
With the primary political season in full gear and the new year just beginning, he recently sat down with Endeavor Media Group to talk about his media, political and spiritual endeavors.
FAQs about the Las Vegas Valley Tea Party (L.V.V.T.P.) and Ray Grant:
When was the L.V.V.T.P. formed and how many members are enrolled?
The organization was formed in April 2011 and currently over 150 members are enrolled.
What are some principals of the L.V.V.T.P.?
We believe in giving the people political information they need to make a choice to get our country back to the people.
How does the L.V.V.T.P. differ from other Tea Party organizations?
We really don’t differ.
What significant contributions has the L.V.V.T.P. made to the Tea Party in general and Las Vegas, Nevada?
We have brought national speakers in and have grown from 60 to over 140 attendees at our events.
Who does the L.V.V.T.P. currently endorse nationally and locally?
We do not endorse any candidates during the primaries.
What are some membership benefits of joining the L.V.V.T.P.?
The most important benefit is knowing that you have made a positive impact in someone’s life.
How long have you been president of the L.V.V.T.P. and why did you seek office?
I have been serving as the president for six months. I did not seek office and was asked to serve.
Are there any other local political organizations that have a minority president? Or a Christian pastor president?
To my knowledge there are no other local political organizations that have a minority president.
Does being a Christian pastor conflict with your political views? Is it an advantage or disadvantage?
No. My religious and political views do not conflict with each other. However my views help me deliver God’s message.
Tell us about Diamond G Media Group, and “The Ray Grant Show” on KDWN 720AM.
Diamond G Media Group is a sub division of Diamond G Sports & Entertainment LLC. It’s the media arm of the company that produces shows (Radio and TV) including “The Ray Grant Show,” where I discuss international, national, and local politics. “The Ray Grant Show” airs on Sundays at 7:30pm on KDWN 720AM. Listeners can tune in live or listen online at www.diamondgmediagroup.com. I was instructed by God to deliver his conservative message on every platform available.
How do you juggle being an officer of the L.V.V.T.P., a Christian pastor, an executive producer of three radio shows, and a talk show radio host?
I personally do not juggle these very important tasks. I trust in God to guide and empower me to do his will. God is my strength.
What would your life consist of if you were not the president of the L.V.V.T.P. or a Christian pastor or a talk show radio host?
I would probably be like a large percentage of Americans whom live their lives while doing nothing to benefit humanity or the country that they are citizens of.
What advice would you give someone whom is choosing a political party affiliation?
My advice is to vote for a person that shares your beliefs. I am a Republican because of the contributions that they have made to blacks in our great nation.

About David Keene
David Keene (born May 20, 1945) is the President of the National Rifle Association. From 1984-2011, he was the chairman of the American Conservative Union.
Keene has been involved in politics since the 1960s, when he worked in the White House as a political assistant to Vice President Spiro Agnew and in Congress as executive assistant to Senator James Buckley. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he served as the National Chairman of Young Americans for Freedom, he went on to serve as the southern regional coordinator for Ronald Reagan’s 1976 bid for the Republican presidential nomination and national political director for George H.W. Bush’s 1980 presidential campaign. He advised Senator Robert Dole’s 1988 and 1996 presidential campaigns, and in 2007 endorsed Mitt Romney for president. Today, he is of counsel at the Carmen Group, a lobbying firm based in Washington, D.C.
Keene has been called “one of the country’s most astute political observers,” and “was counted as one of the few men with both the ear of Republican presidents and an ability to influence the grassroots.”
In 2007, Keene co-founded the American Freedom Agenda, “a coalition established to restore checks and balances and civil liberties protections under assault by the executive branch.” (In 2007, Keene resigned from AFA.) He also co-chairs the Constitution Project’s Liberty and Security Committee, and has said that “the right to appeal one’s detention to an independent judge is a cornerstone of responsible, conservative governance.” He has been critical of the Patriot Act.

About The Las Vegas Valley Tea Party
“We believe in Life, Liberty, the Pursuit of Happiness and in Upholding and Defending the Constitution of the United States of America!”
Our mission is based on the U.S. Constitution’s original principles and not on any political party platform. We must return the United States to the States and the people as spelled out in the U.S. Constitution. The U.S. Constitution was written by our founders to limit the powers of the federal government, instead, giving the power to the people and the States.
As a committed group of ordinary Americans, we will achieve this by promoting candidates who commit to the original founding principles of the U.S. Constitution of limited federal government, states’ rights, balanced budgets, individual liberty, freedom and personal responsibility.
We will also expose the candidates who do not adhere to these basic Constitutional principles. We will support and promote the new “Contract From America,” asking each Senator and Congress member to sign annually to show their commitment. For those who refuse to sign the new “Contract From America,” we will expose those candidates or current politicians who will not commit to these basic principles of freedom and accountability and, instead, believe it is Government who “knows best.”
We believe most Americans do not want out-of-control spending in Washington, bailouts, government controls of private businesses, socializing of Americans’ health care and other non-essential government-run services.
We will support candidates from any party who commit to these principles and expose those who do not, and let the people decide on Election Day. In a nutshell, we need American patriots’ help by joining the Tea Party movement, donating if you are able to and passing along the information about the Tea Party movement to your family, friends and neighbors.
