The Empowerment Column 2012 – week 3 – The Three of Hearts

The ultimate goal of Life is fulfillment.  Every living thing simply wants to be satisfied.  The purpose of Life is for the expansion of happiness.  Therefore, joy is the natural state of the soul.  If one is not being joyful then we will usually ask what’s wrong, or what’s the matter?  “Be of good cheer – for I have overcome the world.”  Today we open up our hearts and minds to allow ourselves to be a conscious place for happiness to originate and flow more and more into fuller expression.  The Three of Hearts is also known as ‘the Childbirth Card’ because the third heart comes as a result of the love that was flowing between the two preceding hearts symbolizing the mother and father.

The Three of Hearts is the ‘Happiness Card’

The 3 is a symbol of trinity.  There is the Mother, Father and Child and there is birth, life and death – past, present and future – mind, body and soul – cold, warm and hot – small, medium and large – morning, noon and night – low, medium and high – before, during and after.  Human pregnancy is divided into trimesters, and there are the 3 branches of government – Executive, Legislative and Judicial.  And, we are constantly being reminded that “it’s as easy as one two three.” 

The triangle is known to be the strongest geometrical shape in the Universe.  A pyramid, the organizational structure of governments, corporations, multi level marketing programs or the chain of command in the military resembles the shape of a triangle

The scriptures of India written in Sanskrit language are known as the Vedas.  Dating back thousands of years, the Vedas teaches about the 3 Gunas.  The 3 Gunas are the 3 forces governing all of life. First, there is the Creative force that brings each new day and causes all things new into existence.  Second, there is the Destructive force that makes the old day pass away and causes things to age, rust, rot, break down or disintegrate into non-existence.   The third is called the Maintenance force because it is the force that balances, regulates and maintains the other two.

We now know that happiness is not the destination but the journey.  We also know that happiness is not something we need to search for or find.  To search for happiness is erroneously affirming that we lack it.  We don’t need others to make us happy.  Happiness is everywhere.  Why? – Because we bring it with us.  We all have the power to choose to be happy about anything at any time.  Since our spiritual awareness is now fully activated – “Don’t worry be happy.”
