The Empowerment Column 2012 – week 4: “The Four of Hearts”

Throughout Nature, the number Four is expressed in many ways.  The fastest animals have 4 legs, there are 4 seasons – Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter, the 4 directions of space – North, South East and West and we advance through these 4 directions of time represented by the 4 Suits of the deck; 

♥Emotional

♣Mental

♦Financial

♠Spiritual

The fundamental structure of arithmetic is broken down into 4 segments – Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division, and the 4 basic laws of physics are Matter, Energy, Motion and Force.

The Four of Hearts is the “Family Card”

The 4 hearts on the card symbolize the mother, father, sister and brother.  In Life we get 2 families.  We have our given family that we are born into and then we have our chosen family that we later gravitate to.  This is why we can have our so called ‘extended families.’  The family is the basic component in the structure of society and the individual is the basic constituent in the structure of a family.  The greater the individual, the greater the family and the greater the family will add to the overall greatness of society. We are all connected on many levels and we are all related ‘We Are Family.’  We are the family of humanity and the chief inhabitants of the planet Earth.

Four sides are required to produce all squares and rectangles and let’s not forget about the 4 corners of the world.

The Four of Hearts also means personal satisfaction.

The triangular enclosure inside the shape of the number 4 is a symbol that means protection, security and satisfaction.  This protection is there to remind us that the love that caused us all to be here also protects us from all kinds of things.  For example, our immune system protects us from germs and diseases. During out time in our mother’s womb we are surrounded by layers of uterus and fluid protection along with all of the natural instincts of the mother.  Small asteroids are dissolved as they enter the earth’s atmosphere.  A mother bird will attack a cat 10 times her size to protect the eggs or chicks in the nest.  The military and the police were created primarily for protection.  This may even explain our reasons for guns, dead bolt locks, sunscreen lotion, pepper spray, bob-wire fences, condoms, security alarms, safety glasses, seatbelts in cars and prenuptial agreements.

In this moment we choose to be more aware or conscious of the love that flows through, surrounds and protects us.  This love sees to it that we are not only protected but also provided for with more food than we can eat, more air than we can breathe and more water than we can drink.  This love is what we come from and why we are here.  This love is what decided to wake us up from our beds and give us one more day.

For many years and even today we live under the threat that the person at the top could press the ‘red button’ and this would be the end of the world.  There is something that has kept this button from ever being pressed – it is the protection that comes from a higher love that transcends logical understanding and another reason to be certain that everything will work out perfectly.
