7,447 fans see Adam Miller’s hat trick

Las Vegas – On the strength of Adam Miller’s second hat trick of the season, the Las Vegas Wranglers took down the Alaska Aces 4-2 in front of a sellout crowd at Orleans Arena tonight.

Aces forward Dan Kissel scored the first goal of the night midway through the first period, giving Alaska a 1-0 lead after outshooting Las Vegas nine to four. Two minutes into the second, a goal from Wranglers center Pete MacArthur tied the game 1-1, and another from left wing Adam Miller gave Las Vegas their first lead of the night. Only 14 seconds after Miller’s goal, Kissel notched his second goal for Alaska to once again knot the game 2-2 at the end of the period.

With less than 11 minutes left in regulation, Miller regained the Wranglers’ lead on a power play goal, putting Las Vegas up 3-2. In the final 96 seconds of the game, Miller secured his second hat trick of the season on a goal that was originally waved off but overturned on review. The Wranglers held the 4-2 lead for the remainder of the game, defeating the Aces and taking two games of the three-game series.

The Wranglers hit the road on Wednesday to take on the Ontario Reign before returning home on Friday, Feb. 10, to face the Bakersfield Condors. Friday is also the return of “Pink in the Rink,” where specialty jerseys will be auctioned off to raise awareness and donations for local breast cancer charities. Fans are also encouraged to wear pink to help “pink out” Orleans Arena. Tonight’s full box score can be found here.
