The first period of the Las Vegas Wranglers matchup with the Bakersfield Condors turned out to be the only scoring action on Friday night. In the first period, the Condors took and maintained a 2 – 1 lead to win the game.
Three minutes into the game. The Wranglers took the lead with a power play goal by center Scott Campbell.
Three minutes later, Condors forward Tyler Helfrich tied the score 1 – 1. Condors forward Peter Boyd made the final goal of the night, 17:17 into the first period, giving the Condors the lead and the ultimate 2-1 win.
For the game, the Wranglers took 29 shots on goal, while the Condors took 25.
Goalies for the game were Joe Fallon for the Wranglers and Matt Keetley for the Condors.
Three star players for the game were Keetley and Boyd for the Condors and Campbell for the Wranglers.
An announced 5,109 fans came out for the “Pink in the Rink” game, which honors women battling breast cancer. For the event, the Wranglers wore vintage black and pink jerseys.
The Wranglers are on the road in Bakersfield tomorrow and return home on Sunday, February 12. The game starts at 2:05 p.m.
