Wranglers Declaw Grizzlies in Midnight Circus

The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Utah Grizzlies in their Midnight Circus, the second midnight game of the season.

A goal from left wing Adam Miller gave the Wranglers an early lead three minutes into the first period.  Las Vegas increased their lead with a goal by defenseman Barry Goers ten minutes later.  In the second period, the Wranglers increased their lead to 3 – 0 with a score by left wing Josh Lunden.

After that goal, the Grizzlies started to mount a comeback.  Utah left wing C.J. Severyn scored the first goal for the Grizzlies 9:23 into the second period during a power play. This was the only power play score during the game.

The Wranglers answered with a goal of their own 12:34 into the second period by Channing Boe.

Grizzlies center Justin Dowling scored the only two goals in the third period, at the 11:08 and 13:02 marks respectively.

The final score of the game was Wranglers 4 – Grizzlies 3.

The goalies for the game were Joe Fallon Las Vegas and Jimmy Spratt for Utah.

The Wranglers took 18 shots for the game while the Grizzlies took 15.

Three star players for the game were Adam Miller and Sean Wiles for Las Vegas and Justin Downling for Utah.

The Wranglers are now 2 – 0 for midnight games this season.
