Caesars Entertainment Bedazzles Bras, Raising Nearly $9,000 for American Cancer Society

Caesars Entertainment Las Vegas resorts raised nearly $9,000 for the American Cancer Society during its third-annual Battle of the Bras Fashion Show and auction held at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino Oct. 25. The competition was the culmination of a month-long initiative in which Caesars Entertainment employees, Strip headliners and local media got out their glue guns and beads to decorate bras in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The whimsical event was hosted by Daena Kramer (DK) of the Dave and Mahoney morning show on X107.5 FM.

The casts of PEEPSHOW, Tony’n Tinas Wedding, Donn Arden’s Jubilee!, Chippendales, X Burlesque and Show in the Sky submitted uniquely hand-crafted designs alongside a handful of local media partners, including Greenspun Media Group, CBS Radio, KVEG Hot 97.5 FM, and Stacey Donaldson, Stefanie Jay and Olivia Fierro of Fox 5.

A record 61 bras were submitted by Caesars Entertainment employees, decorated with boa feathers, ribbon, glitter, beads, inspiring words of faith, hope and courage, and even poker chips and Life Savers candies. The top 18 employee submissions were showcased on the catwalk alongside the media and entertainer designs. Las Vegas Sun Columnist John Katsilometes and cast members from PEEPSHOW, Jubilee! and X Burlesque joined a line-up of Caesars Entertainment executives to model the bras in front of more than 100 Caesars Entertainment employees and guests. Bras designed by entertainers and local media were auctioned to the highest bidders following the show.

Greenspun Media group’s design, modeled by Katsilometes, featured white lights and dozens of handmade roses created from several of its publications; the bra sold for $250. Kramer’s bra design, boasting the popular black and yellow X107.5 FM logo outlined by dozens of shiny gems, sold for $525. A colorful weather-themed bra created by Fox 5 Chief Meteorologist Stacy Donaldson sold for a whopping $800. Last year’s highest bid was $230 for a bra created and signed by PEEPSHOW star, Holly Madison.

A portion of the bras decorated for this year’s Battle of the Bras event were generously donated by Frederick’s of Hollywood at the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. All monies raised by the event were donated to the American Cancer Society.
