On Wednesday, Nov. 21, Yvette Brown’s Cosmopolitan Connections presented the “Nevada Restaurant Association & English’s Event!” at English’s, Quintessentially British Gastropub located in Town Square.
According to Yvette Brown, founder of Cosmopolitan Connections, she was approached by the Nevada Restaurant Association to work together and help promote the association.
“I thought this would be the prefect partnership to have them featured at the event so that their members and non-members alike are invited to a series of our combined events once per month,” Yvette explained. “We have more booked in the near future together, and they will be sending out the invites for them as well as us so watch this space.”
“I really admire their association and I enjoy working with them,” added Yvette.
Featured at the event was violinist Kevin Gardner Rose.
“Each event we have different event themes, local individuals and businesses featured and I had been very excited to schedule violinist Kevin Gardner Rose for some time now,” Yvette stated.
“English’s was the perfect venue in that the patio outside provide the space and ambiance for his techno inspired live violin accompaniment,” Yvette added. “It was something new for us and quite a treat.”
According to Yvette, English’s is a great venue that she keeps coming back to.
“I very much enjoy hosting my events at English’s, Quintessentially British Gastropub as I’m English,” Yvette remarked jokingly. “Seriously though, they are a super venue located at Town Square, with amazing staff.”
“They always cater our events with English food which we love! We are always excited to re-book with them,” added Yvette.
During the event, Yvette was also celebrating become a licensed Real Estate agent.
“I recently became a licensed Real Estate agent in Las Vegas, and I was honored to join the Craig Tann Group ~ Prudential Americana Southwest office, as he is ranked top one percent in North America,” Yvette explained. “I’m following in my boyfriend Eric Augers footsteps, as he is also a very successful realtor on the same team and he inspired me to want to help people in buying or selling to get them into their dream home.”
This event took place the day before Thanksgiving. As such, Yvette revealed what she is thankful for.
“Going into the Holiday season I’m extremely thankful for all of our Cosmopolitan Connected who attend every week, even during the busy holiday season,” Yvette remarked. “We couldn’t be successful without them and also our lovely venues who schedule us 52 weeks out of the year!”
“It’s amazing I always think at the beginning of each year, (2013 will be our third year running) that we won’t have enough venues but immediately they see the value in having our events there,” Yvette added. “I’m happy to say we are already booked through the end of Feb 2013 already with weekly venues,” continued Yvette.
