Yvette Brown’s Cosmopolitan Connections presented an evening of fashion, hair and style with the “Black Ice ~ Hair & Fashion Model Event!” at The Ainsworth in the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
The event featured six styled models, with hair by master stylist XIS, wearing Boutikitou Fashion Boutique and makeup by Alysia’s Makeup and Beauty.
According to Yvette Brown, founder of Cosmopolitan Connections, the event was a huge success.
“This was an absolutely amazing event for everyone involved from our event guests, to the featured models, hair and makeup artists and fashion designers,” Yvette explained. “I really appreciate all the hard work that went into producing such a successful event for us all.”
XIS was also impressed with the event.
“The best event I’ve had yet. The venue was incredible, a perfect design,” XIS stated, “placing all the models to have a visional of all of them in one area.”
Yvette stated she was impressed with the models and the creativity involved with getting them prepared.
“With both Male and Female Models featured this time there was something for everyone to enjoy,” Yvette elaborated. “The creative team is just absolutely brilliant and we just had to admire the models hair, makeup and fashion styled by our amazing professionals.”
XIS noted that he was going for a different look than in past events. The look he was going for was darker and bolder.
“The hair I wanted it dark, captivating and mysterious,” XIS explained. “The look had to be out of this world as well. So the models received some serious back combing to create the shape I wanted.”
“Like ‘The Hat’ look on model Lacy Jay,” XIS elaborated. “Then from there it’s all about molding the rest of the hair around the shape. Not to mention tons of hairspray.”
“To be honest I created the designs as I go,” XIS remarked. “I have a vision for each model in my head of what the hair should look like. Then I just try to make it come alive.”
“I was thinking in terms of ‘Bold’ and ‘Underworld’ when created the designs,” continued XIS.
“I really appreciate everyone involved, and I want to thank them again for their hard work and time,” added Yvette.
The event featured a new venue for Cosmopolitan Connections, The Ainsworth.
“Both myself and event guests love The Ainsworth, a new venue for us at The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino,” Yvette stated. “I had tons of positive feedback about the venue and we are excited to announce we have more events scheduled there for 2013!”
Yvette remarked how the venue was perfect for this type of event.
“The Ainsworth was the perfect venue for our event this time as we were really able to showcase the models and use the space to create an exciting atmosphere,” explained Yvette.
“The staff and management are also fantastic,” continued Yvette.
Yvette was pleased with the turnout.
“I just really appreciate our Cosmopolitan Connected regulars who attend weekly and also it was fantastic to have some new faces join us at this particular event,” Yvette explained. “I’m always trying to secure new venues for our group, as our event guests all love to check out new places that we introduce them to.”
“I would say we had around 175 attendees this week which is incredible,” continued Yvette.
