The Empowerment Column 2012 – week 51: “The Queen of Spades”

We may slip and fall from time to time but we get back up, brush ourselves off and continue our journey and exploration into more and greater spiritual realization.  There is the presence of a Greater Reality that responds to the seeds we plant.  The supreme intelligence behind this Greater Reality determines where the stems are going to go on every plant, what each leaf will look like and what size, shape and color it will be.  Its almighty power keeps the planets moving in perfect order and keeps the winds blowing and the rivers running.  On a personal or individual level it keeps our heart beating and lungs pumping.  We now move into the 51^st week of the year and the 51^st card in the deck is the Queen of Spades.

The Queen of Spades is the ‘Service’ card

In the deck of playing cards, Spades symbolize work, wisdom, health and spirituality.  The Queen is the symbol of the feminine principle.  The feminine principle is the entire aspect of life that moves and acts in response to the seeds planted into her.  For example, from conception, through pregnancy to childbirth is the feminine principle in action.  When the farmer plants the seeds into the ground, the response to the seed producing the plant is the feminine principle.  Our own birth is the ultimate result of the services provided by the feminine principle.  Every act we do is similar to planting a seed.  Every reaction from Nature to every action is the feminine principle.

All Queens represent the feminine principle or the female ruler of their suit whether it’s Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds or Spades.  All Queens achieve fulfillment in life through service.  “The Greatest among you shall be the Servant.” The Queen of Spades symbolizes Mother Nature with all of her beauty and glory and forceful power to cleanse, nurture and heal.  Everywhere Nature is cleaning.  That’s why it rains and why the winds blow and why rivers run.  Nature’s cleaning is also why we catch colds and why we must visit the toilet.  Visiting the toilet and catching colds gives Nature a chance to get rid of things we don’t need in our bodies.  Mother Nature serves us an abundance of air, water and food and provides the service of healing everywhere.

The Queen of Spades is the most powerful Queen in the deck.  She is the Queen of all Queens as she’s also defined or referred to as ‘Major Support.’  She symbolizes the force behind the Sun because of her high position of her throne at the center of the Crown Line in the Grand Solar Spreads.  The Grand Solar Spreads is an ancient layout configuration of all 52 cards in a perfect sequential order that places the cards on 7 lines in 7 equal rows (which totals 49 cards) and having the 3 remaining cards forming a Crown Line on the top.  Her natural place at the center of the Crown Line indicates that throughout history there was never a Kingdom ever built that did not center on or around the Queen.

A common reason why relationships fail is due to a selfish Me-Me-Me, My-My-My, Get-Get-Get mentality.  The most effective marketing responds to the one recurring question playing over and over again in people’s minds – ‘What’s in it for me?’  When we enter relationships on the basis of what we expect to get then disappointment on that same basis becomes probable.  Then the disappointment causes one to be unhappy or unfulfilled resulting in a breakdown in the relationship.

This selfishness also leads to the standoff of ‘What matters to me is more important than what matters to you.’  If we shift our focus and approach to relationships from ‘What’s in it for me?’ to ‘How may I serve?’ we activate a new way that the feminine principle of Nature will respond to us.  We just give to give, and we serve to serve without ulterior motive or to get anything back or holding expectations or attachments to outcomes.  Simply choosing to serve each other will produce the best relationship experiences.  True service is the exact opposite of selfishness.

Selfless Service leads to the ultimate breakthrough realization of the reason why we are here.  Our whole entire life, with all of its treasures and all of it pleasures, is a sacred gift and serving is how we give back.  Great prosperity continues to happen to those who figure out how to serve, reach and provide service to the most people.  In our own personal and grateful response to the Giver and Provider of all things we choose to serve.  Giving and receiving are one and inseparable is the law.  We cannot give without receiving because of this law.  Therefore, we cannot serve without compensation is this same law even though gratitude and not the expectation of compensation, is the driving force and sole reason why we serve.
