Club Curry Monopoly Mansion Fundraiser Party Rolls the Dice to Raise Money For The Shade Tree Shelter

Club Curry is holding their third annual party with a purpose at intimate and exclusive Monopoly themed fundraiser Dec. 29. Only 150 tickets for a chance to experience a night filled with entertainment, interactive fundraiser games, live auctions, extravagant prizes, music, dancing, food and drinks benefiting The Shade Tree women, children and animal shelter.

Last year, Club Curry New Year’s Eve Ultimate Party with a Purpose raised more than $100,000 for the Camp to Belong Nevada Child Focus, Inc. from the combined efforts of Club Curry sponsors, attendees and auctions. This year, their goal is to beat last years’ collection to support and fund The Shade Tree shelter in North Las Vegas.

“We love getting involved with local charities that are in desperate need of funding,” said event sponsor Mark Curry.  “The support we receive for our events are always overwhelming. All the proceeds from this event will be donated directly to help sustain the Shade Tree shelter in 2013. With our Monopoly theme, guests will get the chance to play along and purchase properties that list all of the costs and description of the Shade Tree’s needs. This classic favorite board game inspires our fundraising efforts so that everyone will win! ”

“We can’t wait for this Club Curry fundraiser,” said Shade Tree Executive Director, Marlene Richter.  “The opportunities that will come from the funds raised will help save the lives of so many women and children who have fallen victim to domestic violence and hard times.  We are extremely grateful to Mark Curry and the Club Curry team for everything they are doing to support The Shade Tree as we provide a safe shelter to homeless and abused women, children and pets in crisis.”

This event is made possible with sponsors The Palazzo Las Vegas, New Vista charity, Body Heat Yoga, Flightlinez Bootleg Canyon, Barre Las Vegas, Franklin Documents, Pico Madama Salon, Homewood Suites by Hilton, Pink Jeep Tour, Nevada Ballet, Phase 1 Sports, Papillon helicopters, House of RYU, God’s Jewelry, Frenzy Fashion Boutique, Mary Kay  and Sambalatte.

The Shade Tree began in Las Vegas as Jubilee Ministries to serve abused and homeless women and children in 1989 and officially became The Shade Tree in 1990.  The shelter provides immediate safety from the harshness of the streets or the violence in some homes.  It is the only 24-hour accessible shelter designed specifically to meet the needs of homeless and abused women and children in Southern Nevada. With 364 beds, it is the largest shelter of its kind in the state. Its mission is to provide safe shelter to homeless and abused women and children in crisis and to offer life-changing services promoting stability, dignity, and self-reliance.  For more information on The Shade Tree Shelter, visit
