Powerball Reaches $350 Million; Mega Millions Up to $170 Million

Saturday’s Powerball drawing resulted in no winners of the main jackpots. The jackpot is now estimated at $350 million with a cash option at $222.8 million.
The next drawing for Powerball is Wednesday, May 15. Powerball drawings occur on Wednesdays and Saturdays each week.
Powerball hit twice so far in 2013. The last Powerball jackpot hit on March 23, 2013 in New Jersey. Prior to that, a ticket in Virginia won $208 million on February 6.
Powerball is played in 43 states as well as Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The closest locations for Nevadans to play is California and Arizona.
There were no winners for Friday’s Mega Millions top award either, raising the jackpot value to $170 million. The cash option is valued at $126 million.
The next draw date for Mega Millions is Tuesday, May 14. Mega Millions performs draws every Tuesday and Friday.
Mega Millions hit four times already this year. The last top award for Mega Millions occurred on March 12, 2013 for $41 million which was won by an office pool of 14 people in Westlake, Oh. A $26 million jackpot was hit on February 19 in Maryland. On February 5 a $19 million jackpot hit in Michigan and on January 25 $89 million was won in Orange, New Jersey.
Mega Millions is available in 42 states plus Washington, D.C. For Nevadans, Mega Millions can also be played in California and Arizona.
