Kendrick Lamar performs sold out show at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
American hip-hop artist Kendrick Lamar brought his good kid, m.A.A.d city tour to the Boulevard Pool at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas May 22 for a completely sold out show. Special guests Ab-Soul and Jay Rock opened the show in “Top Dawg” style, but it was the Compton king, Kendrick Lamar, who hypnotized the at-capacity crowd. Hailed as the rap genius of his generation, Lamar’s laid-back vibe had the audience singing along to nearly every word. Lamar’s reflective rhymes and smooth, crisp beats were the highlight of the evening, exemplified by tracks like “Money Trees,” “Swimming Pools (Drank),” and “Don’t Kill My Vibe.”
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas features artists at the forefront of the touring world and emerging artists that will inspire the next musical movements coupled with spectacularly-designed, technology-driven venues. The excitement of live-music and sports action spills onto the casino floor from Book & Stage, an upscale sports and entertainment lounge, while live DJs fill the rhythmic and vibrant hot-spot BOND with the best in house-music. Finally, The Chandelier, a dramatic inhabitable three-story architectural wonder, created by 2 million luminous crystals, houses three unique bar experiences: high-energy hot spot, sophisticated cocktail retreat and inviting lounge. Perched high above the Las Vegas Strip, the Boulevard Pool is a multilevel pool experience by day and an intimate outdoor concert venue with unobstructed sightlines of both the stage and The Strip by night.
