The Easy Chef: Salmon with Strawberry Avocado Salsa Recipe


  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 2 limes
  • 1 avocado, peeled, pitted, and cut into 1/4-inch dice
  • 6 ounces strawberries, hulled and cut into 1/4-inch dice
  • 1/4 small red onion, cut into 1/4-inch dice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • Olive oil, for brushing
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • Spinach/arugula mix (bunch)
  • 8 Cherry Tomatoes
  • 18 blackberries
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  • Cut up the strawberries, put in bowl, add sugar
  • Cut up the avocado, onion, cilantro, put in bowl
  • Juice one of the limes, add to bowl, mix.
  • Cut the remaining lime into wedges.
  • Set the salsa and lime wedges aside separately.
  • Heat grill pan on stove to medium-low heat.
  • Brush both sides of the salmon with oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Fry the salmon until just cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  • Put a bed of Spinach on the plate
  • Place salmon on greens, put generous portion of salsa mixture next to it
  • Decorate plate with remaining cilantro, cherry tomatoes, blackberries and the lime wedges
  • Serve 🙂
