MAGIC MARKET WEEK heats up the Summer with Fashion Industry Leaders, Movers and Shakers

MAGIC MARKET WEEK wrapped up another fantastic fashion week in Las Vegas.  Featured between the Las Vegas Convention Center and the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, MAGIC is the premier beginning and end of success in the fashion industry.  When you apply yourself to make it here, the networking potential for your brand can take you anywhere around the world.  I feel the need to break down the fashion convention for readers to truly understand the magnitude of this event.  MAGIC MARKET WEEK is a global platform for fashion and apparel sourcing that meets every February and August with the largest most influential network of buyers, brands, media and decision makers. 
“We have seen attendance increase 14 percent and exhibitors increase over 39 percent in the last three years,” said Thomas Florio, CEO of Advanstar Fashion Group. Adding, “Fashion at MAGIC is big business. Fashion is also a creative process and the new staggered schedule allows the industry more time to interact on multiple levels.”
At the Las Vegas Convention Center features WWMDMAGIC women’s young contemporary and juniors, FN PLATFORM with over 1,600 Men’s, Women’s, Junior’s and Children Footwear Brands, SOURCING @ MAGIC apparel & accessories, original design manufacturers, fabric and trim suppliers, print design studios and service providers and WSA@MAGIC fast fashion footwear and sourcing.  The Mandalay Bay Convention Center featuring PROJECT men’s and women’s advanced contemporary, premium denim and designer collections, THE TENT @ PROJECT curated collection of men’s and women’s designer and high-end contemporary collection, PROJECT MVMNT street fashion and youth culture apparel, ENKVEGAS women’s advanced contemporary, premium denim and progressive collections, MAGIC MEN’S classic men’s apparel and accessories as well as POOLTRADESHOW art and design driven emerging and independent brands. 
The most impressive and beneficial part of MAGIC MARKET WEEK are the Conference Series that bring fashion intelligence, best practices and the industry top leaders under one roof for face to face seminars covering industry insights, trends and innovations.  This season provided 48 complimentary seminars that touch all topics from Maximizing Your True Potential to How to Start a Fashion Line, The Truth about Online Marketing and lots more.  Also attendees never realize the ground needed to be covered until they are faced with having to walk from showroom to hallways even sometimes across streets just to take full advantage of all MAGIC MARKET WEEK has to offer.  Transportation is provided that include non-stop shuttle service to and from both Convention Centers, The Loop at The Las Vegas & LVH Convention Center, golf cart service to and from WWDMAGIC and FN PLATFORM, as well as free gold lot and airport shuttle services.  I guess this answers the million dollar question, how do women cover all that ground in 3 – 5 inch hills and manage to survive?  They arrange transportation! 

Every convention some brands stand out more than others.  This season we were most impressed with Canvas Project where artist Taylor DeVille and Persue were onsite designing and painting shoes live and also the live art performance by Persue with Project Canvas DJ.  They even designed and painted a pair of canvas mid tops for us personally on site.  Each shoe purchased from Canvas is customized with it’s own individual design.  Customers can also order blank Canvas shoes and customize them themselves as well which makes this shoe by far the most unique brand on the PROJECT showroom floor.  The best booth which always stands out near and far is by Cecico premiering the latest and hottest trends for juniors.  Another impressive booth that brings you in mind of the perfect most colorful and stimulating room for any size is Zuo that provides a bunch of new shapes and textures with lighting that explodes in retro as well as modern furniture that is affordable.  NCLA Los Angeles had the twins and creators of Artistic Glow on site featuring their new nail wraps for show attendees with full set of wrap manicures.
