A conversation that changed the world

The Interview

A conversation took place in the year 1908 that has been responsible for the success of thousands if not millions of people all around the world.

This exchange took place between two men, Andrew Carnegie (at the time the richest man in the world and the first billionaire) and Napoleon Hill, a young man in his 20’s, of humble beginnings who at the time was a reporter for a small newspaper in West Virginia where he grew up.

What began as a three-hour interview, turned into a three-day interview.

The Offer

At the end of the third day Carnegie said to Hill, “Napoleon, I want to offer you a job.  The job will take you 20 years to complete and I’m not going to pay you”.

To which Napoleon replied, “Not only will I take the job Mr. Carnegie, you can count on me to complete it”.

He said, “I like the way you answered that, you have the job”.

The Problem

He said, “Here’s the problem Napoleon, people in this country are working too hard making a living and they have no time to figure out how to create a life. Men like myself know how to make lots of money.  If you will interview the men I introduce you to, the way you have interviewed me, you will discover The Secret and uncover our philosophy.  You can then publish this philosophy and make it available to the common man”.

The Research

Over the next 20 plus years, Hill interviewed the world’s most successful men.

People like Henry Ford, William Wrigley, King Gillette, Windrow Wilson, William Howard Taft, John D. Rockefeller, Alexander Graham Bell, Thomas Edison, Harvey Firestone, F. W. Woolworth, and the list goes on.

In addition, Hill interviewed over 25,000 unsuccessful people and like a scientist compared and contrasted his findings until he’d boiled it down to just 13 indisputable principles.

The Book

In 1937, while working as a personal aid to the President of the United States, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, he published the book THINK & GROW RICH, revealing to the world for the first time, the principles of success.

To this day, no one has compiled a more comprehensive body of empirical research on the topic of success.

The book is STILL a bestseller, has sold hundreds of millions of copies all around the world and has been translated into over 100 languages.

The Basis

This philosophy is the basis of our curriculum at The Institute for Self Improvement because, as Hill points out, not only will this philosophy bring you money in abundance, it will bring you ANYTHING you desire.

It is THE definitive textbook on personal achievement.

Your Invitation

Even if you have read this book before, if you are not as successful as you want to be, or as you know you SHOULD be, or you’re sure you could be, I strongly encourage you to read it again…and again…and again, until you realize this philosophy, if applied will give you the life of your dreams.

To dramatically increase your retention and ability to master of the principles, consider joining a study group and take advantage of The MasterMind Principle.
