Weekend Recap and Celebrity Sightings at LIGHT and DAYLIGHT

Celebrity Sightings
Hollywood actor Adrian Grenier at LIGHT; Professional Poker Player Dan Bilzerian at LIGHT; DJ Clockwork at Citizens Kitchen for lunch before his set at DAYLIGHT Beach Club.

The quack was back at LIGHT at Mandalay Bay last night as Duck Sauce artist A-Trak played an unbelievable set. Before his big night, A-Trak visited celebrity dining hotspot KUMI Japanese Restaurant + Bar to fuel up on classic dishes by Chef Akira Back. At LIGHT, he kicked off his explosive set at 1 a.m. with his hit song “Fools Gold.” A-Trak continued his show playing a monster mix of the best dance sounds that kept the at-capacity crowd on the dance floor all night.

DJ sensation Clockwork let fans know what time it was as he played an astonishing set at daylife hotspot DAYLIGHT Beach Club. The “Toyko by Night” artist launched his poolside show at 3 p.m with a sizzling set of electronic dance sounds that had fans dancing in the pools under the sun all day. During the afternoon partygoers also enjoyed decadent champagne showers to cool off and poolside eats by Chef Brian Massie.

On Friday, one half of the DJ duo Bassjackers, Marlin Flohr, jacked the LIGHT  decks and stole the show with an unforgettable set. But before he hit the decks, he stopped by DJ dining favorite, KUMI Japanese Restaurant + Bar  where he enjoyed signature dishes by Chef Akira Back. After dinner, he hopped in the DJ booth at 12:16  a.m.  at LIGHT and kicked off his show with a heavy hitting mix of electronic dance music favorites as fans packed the dance floor. During his performance, guests were also wowed by LIGHT’s Cirque du Soleil aerialists who danced above the dance floor in the air. After Vegas, Bassjackers head to L.A. for three more shows.

On Friday, August 15, DJs from CON Records took over DAYLIGHT Beach Club for The Takeover event. The DJs each played a mind-blowing set of the hottest summer sounds that had sunseekers dancing non-stop in the pools.
