Las Vegas Legends Fall Short To Monterrey Flash

The Las Vegas Legends, Las Vegas’ only current major league sports team, took on the Monterrey Flash at the Orleans Arena that ended with the Las Vegas Legends falling short with a 2-3 loss on Sunday, November 9. Playing in front of a vocal crowd of Legends fans, the Legends fought until the end in a battle of epic proportions.

The first quarter, was scoreless as both teams went head to head trying to penetrate the opposing teams goalies.

The Legends came back in the second quarter hungry for that first goal, which they achieved 1:57 into the quarter, with a goal by Luis Sanchez (#13). Monterrey looked to tie it up before the end of the half which they failed to do, ending the first half with theLegends up 2-1.

By the time the second half started, Monterrey scored two goals in the third quarter. The Las Vegas Legendsanswered quickly with a goal by Aldo Flores (#14) tying the game up 2-2.

The fourth quarter was back and forth between the two teams until Monterrey scored their third and final goal which ended the game 3-2 in favor of Monterrey.

Key standouts of the game included Zeke Sanchez with 11 saves and Ivan Simental (#16) with ten shots on goal and one assist.

On Sunday, November 23 at 3 p.m., The Las Vegas Legends will take on the San Diego Sockers in their next home game with Opportunity Village as the featured charity partner.
