Did you miss seeing Queen back in the 1980s when Queen were one of the biggest stadium rock bands in the world and at the peak of their artistry? Queen’s Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (guitar, vocals), John Deacon (bass guitar), and Roger Taylor (drums, vocals) are back thanks to Fathom Events.

Fathom Events has already garnered a large, loyal following here in Las Vegas. I’ve been to several Fathom Events are they are getting more and more popular as the high quality of Fathom’s presentations are viewed.

Recorded live at Montreal’s Forum in 1981 and re-mastered for the big screen, this classic concert is often described as Queen’s all-time best performance. A theatrical and brilliantly entertaining performance, the concert will feature many of the band’s greatest hits including We Will Rock YouKiller QueenUnder Pressure, Crazy Little Thing Called LoveWe Are The ChampionsAnother One Bites The Dust and Bohemian Rhapsody.

The band have released a total of 18 number one albums, 18 number one singles, and 10 number one DVDs. Estimates of their record sales generally range from 150 million to 300 million records, making them one of the world’s best-selling music artists.

Leading up to the Montreal concerts in 1981 Queen had toured the Far East and were the first band to make a stadium tour of South America. They played to 131,000 people in Sao Paolo, the largest paying audience for any band anywhere in the world. GREATEST HITS, GREATEST FLIX and GREATEST PIX were released simultaneously later in the year and Greatest Hits has rarely been out of the UK album charts since.

This hugely successful year culminated with the filming of Queen Rock Montreal, captured on 35mm over two nights on Nov. 24 and 25 at the sold-out Montreal Forum.
