Las Vegas Business Academy’s Fourth Annual Fundraiser Held at The Cosmopolitan

Yesterday evening, Las Vegas’ top hospitality and business executives, chefs and community leaders gathered for “Rockin’ on the Strip,” the fourth annual fundraiser for Las Vegas Business Academy (LVBA), founded in 2011 by Rino Armeni, which was held this year at Bamboo Pool at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas in an effort to raise scholarship funds for University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) students pursuing a law degree or masters degree in hospitality or business.

The evening began with an exclusive VIP reception filled with top community leaders, LVBA board members, former LVBA scholarship recipients Matthew Sheahan and Tasha Schwikert and six current scholarship recipients, Daven Cameron, Keivan Roebuck, Caleb Green, Brooke Luna, Mackenzie Warren and Justin Hawkins. During the reception, LVBA Founder and Chairman, Rino Armeni,presented Blau & Associates Founder and CEO Elizabeth Blau and El Cortez Hotel & Casino Executive Vice President Alexandra Epstein Gudai with the Griffin Award. Designed to recognize individuals for their dedication to leading and positioning Las Vegas as a premier destination through innovative and fresh business approaches, the award celebrates prominent business professionals who serve as an exceptional example for LVBA scholarship recipients to learn from.

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed the incredible view from the Bamboo Pool while sampling a variety of delicious dishes ranging from Caramelized Sea Scallops and Pork Belly Confit to Mascarpone Cheesecake and Tiramisu. Signature dishes were showcased from many top Las Vegas restaurants, including Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill, Buddy V, Capital Grille, China Poblano, D.O.C.G., Estiatorio Milos, Four Seasons, Hakkasan, Honey Salt, Jaleo, Scarpetta, Sierra Gold, STRIPSTEAK, STK Las Vegas, T-Bones and Wicked Spoonwith drinks provided by The Cosmopolitan’s mixologists.

Immediately following the event, guests traveled to The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas’ Boulevard Pool for the venue’s Counting Crows: Somewhere Under Wonderland Tour with special guest Citizen Cope concert. Attendees enjoyed VIP access, complimentary drinks and an unparalleled view of the Strip.
