Lisa Escobar of Lisa Escobar Design attended the Summer 2016 Las Vegas Market at World Market Center with her team to scope product and cement relationships with industry colleagues.
Escobar was also the only Las Vegas-area professional featured on the WithIt panel featuring social media celebrities. The social media panel was hosted by Somerton Dwelling and organized by the WithIt group. Attendees had the opportunity to learn how social media pacesetters are using the digital world to build their brand, their influence and their businesses.
Kathy Wall of the North Carolina-based The Media Matters, a full service agency including social media, PR, branding and advertising, served as moderator. Along with Escobar of Lisa Escobar Design, panelists included Jeanne Chung of Cozy Stylish Chic and Dann Foley, Lifestyle’s Dann Foley.
Panelists spoke about their most popular social media posts, what they do themselves and which tasks they delegate, their favorite social media platforms and more. Escobar said her Instagram account serves as an important visual index of her point of view and a window into her world. Chung, who also operates a retail store, urged attendees to “never lose sight of who you are.” Foley said that designers are known for good taste – not only furniture, but also how they live their lives – and their social media platforms should reflect that.
